Dear member,
Due to a clerical error on the part of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), direct debits for membership fees impacting a subset of members were processed 3 days early. As such, fees were debited from members’ accounts on June 17, rather than on June 20 (as per our fee payment schedule).
This error ONLY impacts members who pay their membership fees on a monthly basis or members who pay their fees annually in June. If you pay your fees annually outside of June, you have not been affected.
Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. If you were impacted by the early debit and have incurred bank fees, the CMPA will reimburse your bank charges.
To be reimbursed, please sign in to the CMPA member portal using your CMPA Member ID and password and create a General Inquiry with a screen shot or picture of your bank charge. Please ensure your name is clearly visible, but feel free to redact other banking information. Once we have received your request, we will refund the banking charge.
Again, we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. We will put appropriate processes in place to ensure it does not happen again.
Thank you for your understanding.
The CMPA
